The Escondido Art Association will host an Adult Student Art Show during November at the Artists Gallery on 121 W. Grand Ave., Escondido. This is an opportunity for adult students in the North County San Diego to show their artwork and participate in the monthly competition on equal terms with members of the EAA. A call to artists is being extended to sister organizations and art classes in the North County area.
An entrant is considered an adult student artist if he/she is currently enrolled in an art class or has attended an art class, workshop, EAA or other artist demonstration in the past year.
Member and non-member artists alike may enter up to three pieces of artwork at an entry fee of $10 for the 1st piece and $5 for the 2nd and 3rd piece. The show will be judged by prominent artist: Bo Kim in three categories: A=beginning artists (1 thru 3 years); B=Intermediate & Advanced artists (3 thru 6 years); and C=Master and Pro-Master (6 years and above.)
Drop-off of artwork is Saturday, November 3, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. or Monday, November 5, 4-6 p.m. Art pick-up is Saturday, December 1, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. or Monday, December 3, 2 – 4 p.m. There will be a reception on Second Saturday, November 10, from 5 – 8 p.m., with the awards ceremony taking place at 6 p.m. First, Second, Third Place and Honorable Mention ribbons will be awarded in three categories (Watercolor, Oil/Acrylic and Other), as well as a Best of Show award.
