2nd Tuesday Book Club Discusses Stephen King book


Escondido Public Library invites adult readers to join the 2nd Tuesday Book Club meeting on June 13,  at 6 p.m. in the Turrentine Room. This month’s selection is “The Bazaar of Bad Dreams” by Stephen King. Copies are available for check out and may be reserved in the Library catalog at library.escondido.org.

King’s novels are celebrated by fans the world over, but he is also recognized for his masterfully crafted short stories. New York Times bestseller “The Bazaar of Bad Dreams” is his sixth collection of short stories, accompanied by King’s own fascinating commentary, which provides the reader with insight into the author’s sources of inspiration, method of writing, and daily life. “The Bazaar of Bad Dreams” is an introspective collection centered around mortality and the afterlife, evoking feelings of love, grief, fear and hope.

The 2nd Tuesday Book Club will continue on July 11, as a part of the Library’s annual Summer Reading Challenge for kids, teens, and adults which runs from June 19 to July 31 and encourages community members of all ages to Design Your World. The July selection is “Outliers: The Story of Success by Malcolm Gladwell.” The selection for August 8, is “The Nightingale” by Kristin Hannah.
