The Old Escondido Historic District will hold its 20th Annual Mother’s Day Home Tour on Sunday, May 14, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m. when you will be able to tour the interiors and gardens of a variety of houses including a Queen Ann Victorian built in 1896, a Colonial Revival built in 1904, a Craftsman style built in 1924, a Minimal Traditional style built in 1939, and a Mid-Century Ranch style built in 1953.
Tickets are $25 each if purchased prior to the event or $30 on the day of. One child under the age of 12 admitted at no charge with each paying adult.
This is a self-paced tour. The homes are within walking distance for the average person although there are a couple of fairly steep hills along the way. Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended.
Proceeds from the Mother’s Day Home Tour help the Old Escondido Historic District, a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, to achieve their mission, to “promote and protect Old Escondido, the City’s oldest neighborhood.”
