19th Annual Mothers Day Home Tour Sunday, May 8, 2016 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.

This year’s home tour will feature five historic homes, include the Beach House, Escondido’s “Crown Jewel” built in 1896; the Blackburn House – built in 1904; the Perry House – built in 1924; the Mayne House – built in 1939-40 and the Mc­Manus House – built in 1953-4.

Tour the interiors and gardens of five historic homes and enjoy refreshments in the lovely Beach House garden. Thousands have enjoyed these Home Tours in the past, with hundreds returning year after year.

Tickets are $25 each if purchased prior to the event or $30 on the day of. One child under the age of 12 is admitted at no charge with each paying adult.

This is a self-paced tour; the homes can be visited in any order. A keepsake program with a map and descriptions of all the homes will be provided to each ticket holder on the day of the tour at Home Tour Headquarters.

The homes are within a half mile of each other, walking distance for the average person although there are a couple of fairly steep hills along the way.

Comfortable walking shoes are highly recommended. Unfortunately, these historic homes are not wheelchair accessible. No strollers or pets will be allowed inside the homes.

Proceeds benefit the Old Escondido Historic District.
