Members of the Department of Fish and Wildlife’s Natural Resource Volunteers will be speaking at the June meeting of the Senior Anglers of Escondido.
Bob Gaskin and other DFW volunteers will present an educational program on the challenges of wild animals in domesticated suburbia, local fishing areas and habitat, Marine Protected Areas and enforcement, and volunteer opportunities to help protect California’s outdoor resources.
The club’s meeting will be on Friday, June 9, open to all anglers in Southern California, age 50 and above, at the Park Avenue Community Center, 210 Park Ave., Escondido. Meetings start at 9:30 a.m.
Members of the club enjoy local surf and freshwater fishing, summer saltwater charters, RV camping, and community service to help kids go fishing. http://senioranglersofescondido.net/
