Are you ready to go back to school?
We’re inviting you to join more than 200 adult students on Thursday, April 27 for the first ever “Path to Palomar” orientation and college tour event at Palomar College hosted by Education to Career Network of North San Diego County. This is the first event designed exclusively for adult education students either currently enrolled in or recently completed adult education programs. And for most, this is will be their first time setting foot on a college campus.
What’s different about this college tour is that all the students are adults — representing one of five adult education programs as part of the Education to Career Network including Poway, Escondido, San Marcos, Ramona and Vista. The adult’s ages range from 18+ with backgrounds as diverse as the programs they are coming to see.
ETCN’s adult education programs offer a wide variety of classes and career pathway programs with the primary goal of assisting adult students in career advancement, college preparation, workforce re-entry, and life enrichment. Whether they are back at adult school to garner their high school diploma, or finishing a pathway in a certified nursing assistant program, ETCN strives to make their transition from adult education to Palomar College, a 4-year institution or directly into the workforce a smooth and successful one. What’s more, many of the programs are offered at lower fees than most for-profit programs, and in some cases, offer classes free of charge. English as a Second Language classes and high school diploma programs are free programs offered through ETCN.
You are invited to attend some or all of the evening’s festivities. The agenda of Path to Palomar includes:
