The following local students graduated from the University of San Diego on May 22.
Jill Bargabus of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry.
Torrey De Armas of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Finance.
Daniel Garcia of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology.
Daniela Garcia of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
Irvin Hernandez of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering.
Chelsey Kawile of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Psychology.
Kimberlyn Loarie of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Loarie graduated cum laude.
Thomas Marino of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Marketing. Marino graduated cum laude.
Taylor McCully of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
Ryan Salisbury of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Shiley-Marcos School of Engineering. Salisbury completed the requirements for graduation in January of this year.
Norma Solorzano of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Neuroscience.
Amanda Tazbaz of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy. Tazbaz completed the requirements for graduation in January of this year.
Tyler Tony of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Accountancy.
Kayleigh Ward of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and English. Ward participated in the McNair Scholars program that prepares high achieving first-generation college students and students from underrepresented groups for master’s and PhD programs. Ward will begin a PhD program in sociology at Michigan State University.
Andrea Zoffel of Escondido earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration.
The University of San Diego is a Catholic institution of higher learning committed to teaching, the liberal arts, the formation of values and the creation of ethical leaders. Chartered in 1949, the school enrolls approximately 8,300 undergraduate and graduate full- time equivalent students.
In addition to the above graduates, Imke Scheepers of Escondido was named to the University of Rhode Island’s Spring 2016 Dean’s List. To be included on the Dean’s List, students must have completed 12 or more credits during a semester for letter grades with at least a 3.30 quality point average. Part-time students qualify with the accumulation of 12 credits with a 3.30 quality point average.
