The Escondido Art Association will host Chuck McPherson as demo artist at their upcoming general meeting in the DEB room behind the auditorium at the Park Avenue Community Center on February 10, from 7–9 p.m.

McPherson’s lively style of painting includes setting up a splash zone in the first couple of rows as he dives into his watercolor using a loaded 6 inch brush to begin his creation. He entertains his audience with a quick wit while embellishing his free-style paintings with props borrowed from the crowd, like lipstick and coffee. This intuitive artist paints full-time and recently founded www.BallastPointGallery.com where he offers workshops, paint-alongs, critiques and serves as discerning art show juror. He began offering watercolor classes at the Art Academy of San Diego beginning January 2016. chuckmcphersonart.com/

In his eighth year as a watercolorist, Chuck has garnered hundreds of awards for his paintings and holds triple Signature status with the Western Federation of Watercolor Societies, National Watercolor Society and The San Diego Watercolor Society. He served as Third VP on the NWS Board, two years as the Member Shows Director on the SDWS Board, and three years as Newsletter Chair on the San Diego Museum of Art Artists Guild Board. Today he serves as 1st Vice President of the Foothills Art Association.

The EAA monthly members’ meeting and demo is open to non- members for a nominal fee of $5.00. Visit the EAA’s new Web site www.escondidoartist.weebly.com for more information.
