Bike To Work Day – Visit Escondido is a pit stop

The Visitors Center will be a pit stop for Bike to Work Day on May 18.

Visit Escondido is an official Pit Stop location for Bike to Work Day hosted by iCommute San Diego.

The City’s Tourism Manager, Katherine Zimmer,  told The Times-Advocate: “We’re really excited to partner with iCommute and the national Bike To Work Day events all around San Diego. Our Pit Stop at the Visitors Center, in historic downtown Escondido, will be a great central location!”

Register online and then stop by that morning to say “HI!” and get a free T-shirt and snacks.

Bike to Work Day is a nationally recognized event celebrated annually in May.  Since May is also National Bike Month, San Diegans have opportunities to GO by Bike all month long.  Bike Month 2017 supports biking as an everyday, environmentally friendly, cost-saving commute choice.

When you register for Bike to Work Day, you can pick up a free t-shirt at one of 100 pit stops throughout San Diego County from 6 to 9 a.m. Participants must show proof of registration to claim their free t-shirt.

ALDI Market in Escondido will be donating water and fruit squeezes for the Pit Stop morning.
